The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has issued an advisory following Apple’s release of an important security update that addresses multiple iOS vulnerabilities, including an exploit chain known as ‘DarkSword’.

How to update to the latest iOS version:

Developer Mode is a hidden menu on smartphone designed for software developers to test, debug and customize their applications and device settings.
It may bypass the standard security protection, compromise sensitive data and allow installation of unverified applications.
AmOnline will prompt you when Developer Mode is detected when you use AmOnline.
For safer banking, switch off the Developer Mode on your device before continue using AmOnline.
- Go to your device’s ‘Settings’
- Search for ‘Developer options’
- If ‘Developer options’ appears, it means the feature is enabled. Tap on it to open the settings.
- Toggle the switch to turn it off.
