Zakat payments refer to retail transactions made under the designated Merchant Category Code (MCC) 8398, 9311 or 9399, with the merchant description ‘zakat’ only. Eligible transactions exclude charity payments, petrol transactions, JomPAY payments, eWallet transactions, government-related payments, recurring transactions, standing instructions and Quasi Cash transactions.
