CLIENT CHARTER on Granting Financing for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME)


OBJECTIVE

The primary objective of the client charter on granting financing to Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) is to educate SME customers on the various requirements for financing application such as information and documents.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • All business entities such as sole-proprietor, partnership, Limited Liability Partnership and private limited companies Including Co-operatives, associations, societies, government bodies/agencies, NGOs/NPOs and Non Resident Controlled Companies. (No Turnover Capping for fully secured / partially secured Asset/Property Financing).
  • For business in the Manufacturing Sector registered business with turnover of not exceeding RM50 Million OR full-time employees of not exceeding 200.
  • For business in the Services and Other sectors registered business with turnover of not exceeding RM20 Million OR full-time employees of not exceeding 75.
  • Malaysian-owned companies/institutions (with at least 51% ownership by Malaysians) registered under the Companies Act 1965, citizens residing in Malaysia and entrepreneurs registered under the Registrar of Business.
  • Satisfactory financial track record of minimum 3 years.
  • Satisfactory relationship (if any) with other financial institutions.

PURPOSE OF LOAN

We offer a wide range of facilities to assist in financing of the following:

  • Working capital requirements.
  • Business Premise Financing.
  • Business Vacant Land Financing.
  • Acquisition of machinery, factory and related equipment.

TYPES OF LOAN

Facilities offered under Conventional and Islamic Banking Concept ranging from; Overdrafts, Term Loans, Bank Guarantee, Equipment Financing, Bank Negara Malaysia Funded Schemes and loans under Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad Schemes.


DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

All loan applications are to be accompanied with a letter the purpose and credit limit of the facilities applied, together with other relevant documents outlined in the loan application checklist. Please refer to nearest SME Banking Center or liaise with our SME Relationship Manager for a comprehensive checklist.


DURATION OF LOAN PROCESSING

Generally, the loan application process will take one month from the date of receipt of all necessary documents. Our Letter of Offer will be issued within 3 days after date of Approval.


BANK STATEMENTS

  • Overdraft: Current account statements will be provided on monthly basis.
  • Term Loan: Statements will be provided on half-yearly basis.

AVENUES OF APPEAL

Decision on the appeal shall be notified in writing within 2 weeks from the date the Appeal is received. Any appeal on unsuccessful loan application can be submitted in writing to our Regional SME Banking Centers or Head Office, attention to:
