1. I’ve forgotten my Username/Password, what should I do?

If you have forgotten your Username, you need to contact our Contact Center. If you have forgotten your Password, you can click on Reset Password in AmOnline. You would need details of your ATM Card, Debit Card or Credit Card and the PIN number to reset your password. You can follow these steps below:

  • Select the “Reset Password” feature at the login page.
  • Then provide your username and select your account type.
  • After that, provide your account details for verifications.
  • Enter your new password and request TAC for authentication. Click “Next” to submit.
    Note: Password requirement adopted by AmBank is as per Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) requirement i.e. minimum of 6 Alphanumeric.
  • Successful. You have completed your Password Reset.

 

2. How do I change my Password?

You can follow these steps below to change your password:

  • After login into your AmOnline, select “Settings” then “Sign-in & Security”.
  • Click “Edit” icon at Password.
  • Enter your current password and new password. Then click “Next”.
    Note: Password requirement adopted by AmBank is as per Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) requirement i.e. minimum of 6 Alphanumeric.
  • Request TAC for authentication.
  • Enter TAC number and click “Save”. Your password is successfully changed.

 

3. How do I change my Secure Image?

You can follow these steps below to change your Secure Image:

  • After login into your AmOnline, select “Settings” then “Sign-in & Security”.
  • Click “Edit” icon at Secure Image.
  • Choose the image. Click on ‘Refresh’ button to generate more images.
  • Click “Next” after you have selected the image.
  • Request TAC for authentication.
  • Enter TAC and click “Save”. Your Secure Image is successfully changed.

 

4. How do I change my Nickname?

You can follow these steps below to change your Nickname:

  • After login into your AmOnline, select “Settings” then “Profile settings”.
  • Click “Edit” icon at Nickname.
  • Enter your new Nickname then click “Save”. Your Nickname is successfully changed.

 

5. How do I change my email Address?

You can follow these steps below to change your Nickname:

  • After login into your AmOnline, select “Settings” then “Profile settings”.
  • Click “Edit” icon at Email.
  • Enter your new email address and Request TAC for authentication.
  • Enter TAC number and click “Save”. Your email address is successfully changed.

 

6. How do I change my Phone number?

The phone number that appears in AmBank Online is the phone number that you have registered when you opened an account with AmBank for the first time (or unless you have updated it at the branch after that). To update this phone number, you need to go to the nearest branch and request for profile update.

7. Is this the Mobile Number for my TAC request?

This phone number is not the Mobile Number for TAC requests. The Mobile Number for TAC is the one that you registered at the branch or via Contact Center.

8. How do I change my Mailing address?

The Mailing address that appears in AmBank Online is the address that you have registered when you opened an account with AmBank for the first time (or unless you have updated it at the branch after that). To update this address, you need to go to the nearest branch and request for profile update.

9. How do I Set Default From Account for transaction?

Default From Account is the default account that will be used to perform transactions. You can follow these steps below to Set Default From Account for transaction:

  • After login into your AmOnline, select “Settings” then “Profile settings”.
  • Click “Edit” icon at Default From Account.
  • Select your preferred account from the dropdown list and click “Next”. Your Default From Account is successfully changed.

10. How do I Change my Transaction Limit?

You can follow these steps below to Change your Transaction Limit:

  • After login into your AmOnline, select “Settings” then “Transaction Limit”.
  • Click “Change transaction limit” to change the limit.
  • Enter new limit amount for any of the transaction type and click “Next” at the bottom of the pages.
  • Note: For FPX specific merchant, click on the  icon, then enter the new limit for the selected merchant.

  • Request TAC for authentication.
  • Enter TAC number and click “Save”. Your transaction limit is successfully changed.
