AmBank Secure

 

1. What is AmBank Secure?

AmBank Secure is a higher security measure to ensure any transaction or accumulated transactions of the same transaction type above RM 10,000.00 in AmOnline is to be authorized using AmBank Secure mobile app. Once authorized in AmBank Secure, you then confirm the transaction in AmOnline to complete the transaction.

2. I got an error "You are performing a transaction of RM 10,000 or more. For security protection, higher authorization is required via AmBankSecure mobile app to perform this transaction. Setup Here" when I performed transaction of more than RM 10,000.00 as below. What do I do?

You are seeing this error because in order to perform a transaction of more than RM 10,000.00, you need to Setup AmBank Secure mobile app to authorize this transaction. Click on the “Setup Here” and you will be directed to settings screen.

3. How do I download AmBank Secure app?

You can download it from Google Play Store for Android and Apple Store for iOS devices.

4. How do I set up AmBank Secure?

 

  • Set up your password in AmBank Secure app
  • There’re 2 security modes you can choose from, either Draw Pattern or key-in Password.
  • Click on “+” for QR Scanner at the top right corner.
  • Then, continue log-in to AmOnline using your desktop or tablet. After login, select “Settings” then “Sign-in & Security”. Click “Set up” icon at AmBank Secure. You will receive an SMS with a validation code. Please keep this SMS as the code is required later.​
  • Point your phone camera on the QR Code.
  • Using the SMS with a validation code that you received earlier, key in the 6 digit validation code and your ID number in AmBank Secure Mobile App. Click Validate.
  • Once validated, AmOnline will be registered.

5. I have installed AmBank Secure Mobile App. I want to make a transaction above RM 10,000.00. What do I do?

 

  • At the Review & confirm page, you will see a “Request Authorization” button instead of Request TAC. Once you click on “Request Authorization”, you will receive a notification through AmBank Secure on your mobile device.
  • Login to AmBank Secure.
  • Authorization in AmBank Secure is successful.
  • After you have successfully authorized in AmBank Secure, you need to click Confirm to complete your transaction.

6. Can I remove my current registered device from AmBank Secure?

 

  • Go to “Settings”
  • Select “Sign-in & Security”.
  • Click “Trash Can Icon” under AmBank Secure to remove your current registered device.

7. What happens if I didn’t authorize the transaction in AmBank Secure?

Without your authorization, you will not be able to complete any transaction above RM 10,000.00

8. I did not receive the AmBank Secure notification alert to authorize my transaction. What should I do?

You can request for the Authorization again. If even after requesting again and yet you do not receive the notification, please contact our Contact Centre at 03-2178 8888 for assistance.

9. I did not initiate a transaction, but I’ve just received a notification to authorize a transaction on AmBank Secure. What should I do?

If you have encountered any suspicious transaction from your account, please contact our Contact Centre at 03-2178 8888 immediately to lodge a report.
