Have you ever seen an online deal
that looks like a real bargain? Beware!

That is probably a scam.

 

 

 

You see an item for sale on social media or online marketplace that is
well below the normal price, making it hard to resist.

 

 

 

• The scammer offers an item for sale at a very low price, and asks the potential victim to ‘buy immediately’ before it is gone.
• Once the money is transferred, the item will not arrive as promised and the ‘seller’ cannot be contacted.

 

 

Be vigilant. DO NOT FALL for those “too good to be true” online offers. DO NOT BUY when in doubt.

 

Always stay alert and be aware of the tricks used by scammers.
